The 2nd High Level Meeting of the Global Geothermal Alliance will take place in San Salvador, El Salvador from 29 September - 1 October, 2022.

The event is co-organised by IRENA and the government of El Salvador, with the support of the International Geothermal Association (IGA) under the theme “Geothermal, Driving the Energy Transition for Fostering Sustainable Development and Climate Action.” It will feature geothermal energy as a key component for the achievement of a clean energy transition, that combats climate change and helps accomplish the Sustainable Development Goals. It will also provide a platform for reaffirming political commitment to fostering geothermal development as well as for exchanging experiences, best practices, and innovative approaches among the GGA Member Countries and Partner Organisations, along with other interested governments and key geothermal stakeholders.

The conference will be held in-person for registered delegates. Since all proceedings will be completely face-to-face, virtual participation and livestreaming will not be possible.

We invite you to return to this site as we will post more information in the coming weeks.
